Introduction (Isomalto-oligosaccharide CAS 499-40-1)
Isomalto-oligosaccharide (IMO) is a soluble prebiotic fiber, low calorie sweetener used to reduce calories/sugar in formulations. IMO can increase absorption of dietary minerals, and is digestion resistant.
IMO is a mixture of shortchain carbohydrates made of glucose molecules which are linked with each other through a digestion resistant bonding.
From natrual tapioca starch, through the enzyme, after liquefaction, concentration, drying and a series of processes and get white powder products, is a natural product which can promote bifidobacterium of the body significantly and have the functions of water soluble dietary fiber, low calorific value, prevent dental caries etc., so it is a kind of functional oligosaccharides used widely.
